He broke their bank, but the Tropicana wants him back.
Gutsy gambler Don Johnson, who won $5.8 million during a 12-hour spree at the Tropicana’s blackjack tables, got a friendly call from casino owner Carl Icahn last week.
“Carl’s a pleasant guy. He called to invite me back. He was very straightforward on the phone,” Johnson, 49, told The Post.
But Icahn wasn’t willing to offer the same alluring terms Johnson got during his Atlantic City visit in April, when the casino offered him a 20 percent rebate on losses and upped the betting limit to $100,000 a hand.
Johnson’s massive winnings put the casino in the red for that month.
