The city slapped Midtown’s Cassa Hotel with five violations for operating an unregistered boiler and generator — and its neighbor may be punished, too.

The Cassa was required to build an extension to the chimney on the neighboring office building but has refused. As a result, smoke and carbon monoxide from the office building may be seeping into the hotel.
