‘Cat burglar’ scratched
A teenage cat burglar who preyed on East Village residents has been caged, authorities said yesterday.
Marlon Cole, 19, was charged with burglary after his DNA was matched to a glove and a flashlight left at two crime scenes, according to a complaint filed in Manhattan Criminal Court.
He and an accomplice allegedly hit 145 Second Ave., 211 E. 10th St., 6 Bond St. and 78 Orchard St. between Jan. 12 and July 10.
They entered the Orchard Street pad through a window and swiped a PlayStation, 50 Blu-ray DVDs, three computers and a cellphone, police said.
Cole allegedly told cops that he played the lookout at least once. His suspected accomplice was still at large last night.
