A Staten Island man was sentenced yesterday to four months in jail for throwing his ex-girlfriend’s cat from an eighth-floor apartment balcony.

Burriel Jones pleaded guilty earlier this month to a felony charge of aggravated cruelty to animals.

The woman’s pet, named Cat, died Oct. 2.
