It’s called “confrontation corner” — for good reason.

A bloody catfight broke out yesterday between a hysterical minivan driver and an NYPD traffic agent after a fender bender at a Lower East Side intersection notorious for accidents, police sources said.

Driver Magda Napolean, 41, and the unidentified female agent had to be pried apart by an off-duty firefighter and cops at East Houston Street and Avenue C at around 9 a.m.

Napolean, who was arrested, allegedly blew a gasket after she got into a fender bender with a taxi.

“That’s confrontation corner,” said witness Wendell Brockington, 58. “I witness like eight accidents a week.”

Bike messenger Danny Henry, 56, said the agent “looked like she was clawed by a tiger.” The agent was treated at NYU Downtown Hospital.
