Hey Ho, Let’s Go!

Legendary punk rock club CBGB, the home for bands such as The Ramones, Talking Heads, Television and Blondie during its 1970s heyday, may soon re-open after new owners bought the name.

Lisa Kristal, whose now-deceased father, Hilly, founded the club in 1973, sold the rights and all memorabilia from the Lower East Side venue three months ago to a group of owners who wish to remain anonymous until officially announcing plans in the coming weeks.

The club lost its original location on the Bowery in 2006 and it soon became a John Varvatos clothing store.
