Don’t give up on watching “Dexter” just yet.

That’s because Time Warner Cable claims negotiations are continuing to hammer out a deal and return programming to millions of New York subscribers left in the dark after the cable giant pulled the plug on CBS Friday evening.

“Negotiations are ongoing,” TW spokeswoman Maureen Huff said. “They take place [by] e-mail, phone and in-person meetings, as well.”

But a CBS source said that’s news to the network.

“The negotiations aren’t happening at the moment, but the ball is in Time Warner Cable’s court and we expect them to resume soon, but we’ll see,” a source said.

Premium channels are also dark.

That means Showtime subscribers hoping to watch the eighth episode of the final season of “Dexter” will have to see a rerun someday.Sports fans planning to tune in for the second day of the World Golf Championship Bridgestone pro golf event in Akron, Ohio will also be out of luck. And if the blackout persists into next week, Gang Green faithful could miss watching Friday’s preseason match-up between the NY Jets and Detroit Lions.

A service interruption that continues into tonight could might mean long faces for fans of “60 Minutes,” “Big Brother,” and Showtime’s “Dexter,” to name a few.

Smithsonian Channel diehards expecting to journey into Minnesota’s landmarks in tonight’s episode of “Aerial America” will likely flip channels.
