A nanny headhunter to the stars — who boasted of finding domestic staff for such luminaries as billionaire financier George Soros, Mariah Carey and Robert De Niro — was convicted yesterday of nine counts of aggravated harassment and one count of stalking for bombarding the wife of an Upper East Side hedge-fund honcho with phone and computer messages after she declined to hire one of his clients.
Adrian Smith is being held without bail and faces up to a year in jail upon his sentencing on the misdemeanor charges Dec. 20, prosecutors said.
On that date, a trial on Smith’s second set of harassment charges is also due to begin — this one over his allegedly threatening rock icon Lou Reed’s manager, Tom Sarig, in a similar case.
