As many Americans slept, the US military struck Iran — sparking swift reactions from celebs and lawmakers.

In a combined effort with Israel, a series of attacks was leveled against Iran. The initial attack happened close to the office of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran.

The regime has, for months, refused to dismantle its nuclear program after weeks of negotiations. President Trump warned there would be consequences if a deal was not reached. “It’s a very simple message. They will never have a nuclear weapon,” Trump said in a video message posted on Truth Social.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy was one of the first celebrities to chime in after the attacks.

“I always laugh at yo-yo’s who don’t have the 1st clue what information the President had that forced this decision. Even politicians who despise him but were briefed on the situation seem to agree with this operation. I guess lotta podcasters know better,” he said on X.

“Iran is a terror nation with a long history of some of the worst human rights atrocities in the world. Nobody disputes that fact. They hate Americans. They hate Israel. They hate all Jews. They hate the West. They would kill us all if given the chance. They just murdered tens of thousands of their own people. The rest of the Middle East is on our side. The Iranian people are on our side. It isn’t that complicated to support our Troops and our country this morning. We are on the right side here. God Bless America,” Portnoy added.

Health guru and staunch Trump supporter Jillian Michaels also weighed in on the attacks.

“We all know President Trump declaring war means America’s brave men and women putting on uniforms. It’s moms, dads, and spouses holding their breath. It’s the fate of the Iranian people hanging in the balance. Agree or not, pray for our troops and for the families who shoulder this burden at home. Pray for the people of Iran,” she wrote on X.

“The world has watched their suffering for decades: young women beaten to death for showing a strand of hair, dissidents tortured in secret prisons, protestors hanged from cranes, live rounds fired into crowds chanting “freedom.” A regime that rapes, silences, and executes to cling to power,” Michaels said.

“… But if from this darkness comes liberation for millions, defanging the top funders of terror around the world, and a wider peace in the Middle East, history will mark it as a defining moment,” she added.

Apparently taking the temperature of his social media platform, Elon Musk also jumped on X with a message to those who were hit with a barrage of Iran and politically-related posts.

“You can now select topics for your timeline, so if you’re tired of political ragebait, you can select something else,” Musk said.

The White Stripes lead singer Jack White also took to Instagram to condemn President Donald Trump for his attack on Iran.

“Don’t you love seeing him declare war on a country while wearing a trucker hat that says “USA” on it? Behold the leader of the “Board of Peace”. For the next war announcement donny, may I suggest having your feet up on the Resolute desk while eating a Big Mac in a velvet track suit? Venezuela, Greenland, Iran, Cuba, what’s the difference right? don jr. and barron won’t have to fight or die, just other people’s children, so…invade and bomb away! New sign ups for the “board of peace” starting at one billion dollars! Can you believe donny hasn’t received a real Nobel Peace Prize yet? Unfair! Maybe in his third term he’ll get one.

Rosie O’Donnell also took to her Instagram, sharing two Trump quotes from his Presidential campaign in 2024, where he claimed his opponent Kamala Harris, “is the candidate of endless wars” and he’s going to “stop wars.”

“He lies only and always,” O’Donnell said, adding the hashtag #impeachtrump.

Actor John Cusack took to X to bash Trump, referring the 1997 film “Wag the Dog,” which followed a President who started a war to distract from his own sex scandal.

“Trump starts a wag the dog war – to distract from Epstein and to do Netenyahu ‘s bidding – who’s lobbied for this for over 30 years – Had enough yet ?” Cusack said.

Actress Carrie Coon called out the recent re-naming of the Department of Defense to the Department of War in a tweet.

“‘Department of War.’ They weren’t kidding about that,” Coon said.

Mark Ruffalo took to Threads and post an article about Jared Kushner, who represented the United States in negotiations with Iran.

“He was sent to make sure we went to war,” Ruffalo said.

Author Stephen King tweeted, “Under Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, only Congress has the power to declare war, as well as to raise and support armies, provide and maintain a navy, and fund and regulate the military. Impeach the SOB.

Comedienne and outspoken Trump critic Kathy Griffin also took to her Instagram, posting, “Trump response to his name being cited in the Epstein Files 38,000 times – Bomb Iran.”
