An updated death certificate says it is “unclear” if 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was pregnant when she was murdered and dismembered, allegedly by “Romantic Homicide” singer D4vd.

The initial death certificate had stated the slain teen was “not pregnant” — but it was amended April 22 to say “unknown.”

The new detail comes after court documents alleged D4vd, real name David Anthony Burke, had started messaging the girl when she was just 11 — and started having sex with her when she was 13, five years under the age of consent in his home state of California.

The singer also allegedly texted Rivas about pregnancy and abortion when she was 13 and the singer was 18, prosecutors revealed this week.

If Rivas was pregnant when she was stabbed to death, her accused killer could face additional charges, according to R.J. Drieling, a criminal defense attorney and former deputy district attorney.

“If she was about seven to eight weeks along, it doesn’t matter if D4vd knew she was pregnant or not, he still could potentially be facing a murder charge for that issue,” Drieling told ABC 7.

Burke, now 21, was charged with Rivas’ murder last month — seven months after the teen’s dismembered and decomposing body was discovered in the trunk of an abandoned Tesla belonging to the singer.

Burke allegedly called Rivas an Uber to his Hollywood Hills home on April 23, 2025, after a fight in which she’d threatened to ruin his career by exposing him for having sex with a minor.

He then stabbed her and stood by while she bled to death, prosecutors have alleged.

He then allegedly used a chainsaw to cut off her limbs in his garage and disposed of her remains in the back of the Tesla.

Burke and Rivas fought the night before the alleged killing because she was jealous of Burke’s relationships with other women and threatened to reveal “damning information about her relationship” with the singer, according to charging documents.

Here’s the latest on the D4vd’s murder charges of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas:

Prosecutors allege that Burke believed allegations of sexual relations with a minor could derail his music career and motivated the murder.

Burke and Rivas allegedly met when she was only 11 years old in January 2022. Investigators say the two began a sexual relationship in November 2023 when Rivas was 13 and Burke was 18.

He is charged with first-degree murder, continuous sexual acts, lewd and lascivious sexual acts with an individual under 14 years old and mutilating the human remains of a body.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges earlier this month.
