A Long Island man died yesterday after accidentally cutting his neck with a chainsaw, police said.

Theofilos Zervos, 35, was cutting wood outside his home on Bayview Avenue in Baldwin when he lost control of the saw and injured himself.

His girlfriend found him around 5 p.m. and called 911, but it’s unclear what time the accident occurred.
