State Sen. Shirley Huntley (D-Queens) has quit the Senate’s ethics panel after a Post exposé spurred a probe into taxpayer money directed to a charity she founded.

Senate Democratic spokesman Austin Shafran said Huntley decided to step aside after reports last week that state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, her former Senate colleague, was investigating her Parent Workshop nonprofit.

“Senator Huntley asked to come off the committee so its work wouldn’t be overshadowed and she could focus on the needs of her community,” Shafran said.
