Gov. Andrew Cuomo delivered for charter schools — and now the charter school movement is delivering for him.

The pro-charter school group Families for Excellent Schools sent out a campaign-style mailer to thousands of city voters applauding Cuomo for pushing and approving a law protecting charter schools in New York City.

The new state law — which requires the city to provide charters free space in public-school buildings or else cover rental costs — beat back attempts by Mayor Bill de Blasio to limit charter-school expansion.

“Thank you, Governor Andrew Cuomo for championing public education,” one side of the flier says, along with pictures of schoolchildren.

On the other side is a picture of Cuomo speaking at the March charter-school rally in Albany, which was attended by thousands of parents and children. It thanks him for “supporting parent choice.”
