A new iPhone app lets baseball fans attending certain games to e-chat with fans across the stadium.
Fans were first able to use the free GPS application during the Yankees’ season-opening loss to Boston on Sunday.
Oil-industry analyst Ira Eckstein came up with the idea for a fan-to-fan, in-stadium chat application after watching hours of TV sports and suffering in person as a Nets and Knicks season-ticket holder.
The GPS application only works, for now, inside Fenway Park, Yankee Stadium, Citi Field and Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
