Chelsea club crackdown
A recent spate of violence outside the popular Chelsea hot spot Shadow — where a clubgoer recently opened fire outside — has neighbors gunning for the club’s liquor license and cops vowing to put an end to the madness.
“We’re on it,” the 10th Precinct’s petite-but-tough Commanding Officer Elisa Cokkinos told a crowd of 20 gathered at a community meeting Wednesday night to complain about the fights, slashings and gunshots.
No one was hurt in the shooting, which happened around the club’s 4 a.m. closing time Saturday.
The precinct commander promised to attack the problem with the help of City Council Speaker Christine Quinn’s office.
