A child was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital in serious but stable condition after falling four stories from a building in Jackson Heights, firefighters said.

A girl in late adolescence or her early teens fell from an apartment at 73rd Street and 53rd Avenue around 4 p.m., according to the FDNY.

It was not immediately clear how the victim fell.
