New photos show comedian Chris Redd bruised and battered — but still smiling — following his attack in Manhattan last week.
The former “Saturday Night Live” cast member donned a big grin in pictures published by TMZ on Sunday, though his nose was stitched up and his eyes were swollen following the Greenwich Village ambush.

TMZ reported that Chris Redd was feeling “very happy and fortunate” despite his ordeal. TMZThe 37-year-old funnyman had just been dropped off at the Comedy Cellar Wednesday evening to perform a set when a man with brass knuckles decked him “out of nowhere” on MacDougal Street, according to cops and sources.
Police released surveillance footage of the masked suspect, who is still at large.
Redd was released from the hospital following the seemingly random attack, which bloodied the steps that lead to the iconic basement club.
