New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will take another stab this week to stanch the financial bleeding in Atlantic City.
Christie is convening a gaming summit in the down-on-its-luck gambling destination on Monday to try and come up with an idea on how to re-market the city.
In 2014, the number of AC casinos has fallen from 12 to nine — and will drop to eight on Sept. 16 when the Trump Plaza is set to shut its doors.
However, critics are hitting Christie on his decision to not open the summit to the public.
“It should be open,” state Sen. Raymond Lesniak (D-Union), told The Daily Journal of Vineland, NJ. “They should hear from the people affected.”
