Christie taps Dem
TRENTON, NJ — Republican Gov.-elect Chris Christie has chosen a Democrat to be New Jersey’s next attorney general.
Christie announced the nomination of Essex County Prosecutor Paula Dow at a Statehouse news conference yesterday.
Christie said Dow is tough and capable, and that she was an easy choice because she “comes in first” on merits.
Dow, 54, worked with Christie in the US Attorney’s Office.
