He avoided jail and kept his New York liquor license, but restaurateur Giuseppe Cipriani may not catch a break from Uncle Sam.

Cipriani, who fled the United States a year ago, faces arrest and deportation if he returns because of his tax-evasion conviction, Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau told The Post.

Cipriani and his father, Arrigo Cipriani, who co-own swank Manhattan eateries and catering halls, pleaded guilty in 2007 to knowingly filing false tax returns for 2003 and 2004.

A spokesman for Giuseppe declined comment yesterday.
