A Citi Bike rider was seriously injured when he was struck by an SUV in Chelsea on Sunday, police said.

The man was pedaling near the corner of W. 21st St. and 9th Ave. when the Toyota Highlander struck him around 11:30 a.m.

The cyclist was knocked to the ground and suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. The impact shattered the vehicle’s front window, left the man bloodied and mangled the blue rental bike.

He was treated at Bellevue Hospital, officials said.

The driver of the SUV remained on scene and has not been charged with a crime.
