The New York City Council is holding a hearing on legislation aimed at improving the city’s response to weather-related emergencies.
Wednesday’s hearing will examine recommendations that came out of a series of public hearings the Council held following the post-Christmas blizzard that paralyzed large swathes of the city.
The storm dumped 20 inches of snow in some parts of the city and sparked several investigations.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg has said it was handled poorly.
