City cuts red tape
Small-business owners who have been complaining for years about overzealous inspectors and Byzantine regulations found an ally yesterday in City Hall, of all places.
After eight months of study, a task force appointed by Mayor Bloomberg and City Council Speaker Christine issued 14 recommendations the city intends to implement to cut red tape.
