In a continued push to prop up the mayor’s nominee for schools chancellor, city officials touted nearly a dozen academics and politicians who support a waiver for Hearst Magazines honcho Cathie Black.

The waiver from the required education credentials is under review by state officials.

Supporters include former Washington, DC, schools head Michelle Rhee.

Others came from closer to home — including the president of Black’s alma mater, Trinity Washington University, and the president of The Institute of International Education, which employed her husband, Tom Harvey, for years until 2005.
