Sparks flew between Mayor Bloomberg and City Council members yesterday over a council proposal to force certain developers that receive city subsidies to pay a minimum “living wage” of $11.50 an hour, or $10 plus benefits.

Before a hearing, Bloomberg said, “You would not help people who are starting their way up the economic ladder.”

Councilman Jumaane William (D-Brooklyn) countered, “The administration is so full of it, you should consider a high-fiber diet.”
