Coney Island’s Cyclone reopened for business yesterday — with its biggest booster content to watch from the sidelines.

“I don’t go on rides, not when I was a kid and not [as] an adult, because I’m scared,” said Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz. “It is a unique experience — for those crazy enough to ride it.”

He donned a red apron to officially open the Cyclone’s 83rd season in traditional fashion — by breaking a bottle of egg cream, Brooklyn’s official drink, on the first car.

Among the more than 200 people in line — the first 100 rode for free — was Erik Knapp, 44.

“It was beautiful, as usual,” said the Garrison Beach man with the Cyclone tattoo on his arm.

Atop the roller coaster, riders get a breathtaking view of the city — and a depressing one of the empty lots that have dotted the area since Astroland Amusement Park closed 18 months ago.

But Markowitz gushed that 19 new attractions are expected by Memorial Day.
