A man was found dead early yesterday in a boat on City Island, police said.

The man, whom police did not identify, was found face-down and bleeding in the 36-foot sailboat docked at the City Island Yacht Club and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said it’s unclear if the man committed suicide or if the death was accidental. The medical examiner is to investigate and determine the cause of death.
