School’s out, and jubilant city kids have officially launched their summer vacations.
Anyone who has forgotten the joy of graduating eighth grade and the excitement of starting high school in the fall need only look at the faces of these happy youngsters outside MS 243 on the Upper West Side.
Mayoral control of schools? Lifting the cap on charters? Let the grown-ups worry about all that, at least for now.
These girls are kicking up their heels in anticipation of a summer of fun after the final class was dismissed at their school on West 84th Street.
Enjoy it while you can, kids — classes resume on Sept. 8.
