The city feted 45 college-bound homeless high-school grads at the Intrepid Museum Friday.
The seniors, along with seven graduates from St. John’s University, all lived in Department of Homeless Services buildings.
Schools they’ll attend come fall include Fordham, NYU, Syracuse and Pratt.
The city also presented each of them with a new laptop computer.
“I have always been a fighter, and refuse to take no for an answer,” said senior Jennifer Mancebo, who will attend Hofstra.
First Lady Chirlane McCray congratulated them for overcoming “more obstacles than many people will in their lifetime . . . I’m sure there were many moments when you wanted to give up . . . but you didn’t.”
