New York City agreed today to pay $90,000 to settle a lawsuit filed after a NYPD raid.

A half dozen people were inside the apartment when NYPD officers raided a residence in Brownsville, Brooklyn in Nov. 2010.

The group sued the city, claiming that officers had used excessive force during the raid, where two men were arrested on drug charges.

A spokeswoman for the city said that the decision to reach a settlement “was in the best interest of all parties.”
