The city is suing three travel Web sites, including Airbnb, for information about illegal short-term rentals at Hell’s Kitchen buildings.
The new Manhattan Supreme Court suits say Airbnb, TripAdvisor and Bookings.com have not responded to a May 31 subpoena seeking information about listings and reservations, including host and guest identities, for a stretch of buildings on West 47th Street.
The mayor’s Office of Special Enforcement wants the information to determine “who is breaking state and local laws” that limit rentals to 30 days or more.
Reps for TripAdvisor, Bookings.com and Airbnb did not immediately return messages seeking comment.
An Airbnb spokesman said the company would protect the privacy rights of hosts.
