A month after Hurricane Irene hurled a massive oak through a Queens house, the city yesterday ordered the tree removed — at the homeowner’s expense.
The tree smashed through the roof of 139-21 230th Place in Springfield Gardens on Aug. 28, but Anthony Dial, 50, said he couldn’t afford to do anything but leave it creaking perilously in the wind.
The city Finance Department said it would send Dial a bill.
