Municipal employees who donated part of their paychecks for Haitian relief raised $211,693.06, officials said yesterday.

When Mayor Bloomberg and City Council Speaker Christine Quinn announced the eight-week program in mid-January, they said if each of the city’s 300,000 workers contributed just $1 each pay period, $1.2 million would pour in. Just 3,478 employees signed up.

Bloomberg also reached out to residents and companies, which donated $1.2 million.
