The Bloomberg administration wants to create a massive parking dock for tugboats at the Atlantic Basin on the Red Hook waterfront.

The city’s Economic Development Corp. yesterday began soliciting bids from operators to run a berthing dock for up to 15 commercial tugboats, between Piers 10 and 12. The basin’s current use is limited to temporary tie-up space, south of the targeted site.
