Sounds ferry delicious.

Famed restaurateur Jean-Georges Vongerichten hopes to transform an old Staten Island Ferry boat, recently purchased by a friend on eBay, into a floating lobster restaurant on the Hudson River.

“It’s not done yet . . . There [are] still permits and money, so who knows?” Vongerichten told the food blog Grub Street yesterday.

“But it would be a lobster place, really, really simple, you know, with hammers.”

Vongerichten said he’s seeking a location for the 1960s-era vessel, which was retired in 2007.
