New Yorkers will have to break out umbrellas to fight light rain on Wednesday, but at least it won’t be snowing.

About a quarter-inch of cold rain is expected, beginning in the late morning and ending by rush hour, say AccuWeather forecasts. A high of 43 degrees will feel like 32, though, given the wind and icy rain, forecasts say.

“Compared to what we’ve been dealing with lately, this isn’t so terrible,” said meteorologist Dave Dombeck, who predicts sunshine and a high of 44 Thursday.
