The hardhat who survived the collapse of an under-construction Brooklyn building said from his hospital bed yesterday he wants to thank those who dug him out.
“There were a few of them, the paramedics, the firefighters, co-workers,” Clayton LaBoard, 43, said from Kings County Hospital.
LaBoard was on the site of the planned four-story apartment building at 277 Carlton Ave. in Fort Greene Monday morning when the top floor collapsed.
LaBoard’s co-worker William Gillet, 67, died in the accident, which is being investigated.
