CARLISLE, N.Y. — State police say a 56-year-old man has died after his farm tractor was hit by a car on a rural upstate New York road.

Troopers say David Huse of Warnerville was driving the tractor with an attached mower on a road in Schoharie County Monday evening.

They say a car driven by 20-year-old Courtney Chichester of Carlisle crossed into the oncoming lane and hit the front of Huse’s tractor, flipping it backward onto him.

Huse was pronounced dead at the scene.

Chichester and a 19-year-old woman sitting in the front seat were treated and released.

Troopers say a 19-year-old woman in the rear seat was thrown headfirst into the windshield and was in stable condition at Albany Medical Center.
