NEW YORK — A computer outage at JFK Airport’s Terminal 7 caused massive check-in delays.
Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman Neal Buccino said a server providing internet connections had problems at about 4 p.m. Sunday, which required manual check-in.
Buccino said Terminal 7 is operated by British Airways, which leases space to other carriers. He said at one point Sunday night, more than 1,000 passengers were waiting in line to get checked in. He said the number dropped to about 80 by midnight.
Buccino recommended that passengers departing from Terminal 7 on Monday prepare for the possibility of crowding and delays.
