‘Con man’ was a real card
A Bronx man setting up a new life in Manhattan with an apartment, dental work and NYU courses got a quick education in criminal justice — when he was busted for fraud, The Post has learned.
Clarence Richardson, 26, of Melrose, launched his crime spree, court papers say, using a stolen Chase Visa card to enroll in a $3,515 class at NYU’s Student Health Center.
He then allegedly conned a Murray Hill dentist into fixing his smile, using a stolen American Express card between April 27 and May 5 to charge nearly $10,000 in dental work.
