101 Warren StreetChad RachmanThe downside to living right next door to a Whole Foods in Manhattan? Exhaust fans that annihilate your private pine forest.
The condo board of 101 Warren St. in Tribeca, where three-bedroom apartments sell for $10 million, is suing building sponsor Edward J. Minskoff Equities for allegedly shoddy construction including sewage overflows and the decimated pine trees.
The $1 million Manhattan civil suit says Minskoff lured buyers with a serene rooftop forest but then let retail tenant Whole Foods install exhaust fans that killed many of its 101 Austrian pines.
A call to the sponsor was not returned.
