State Sen. Jeff Klein can’t play for both teams.

The Bronx Democrat’s private practice lost its $754,284 contract evaluating lawsuits filed against the city — after The Post exposed he was simultaneously working for a firm infamous for suing the city.

City Comptroller John Liu’s office and Klein Calderoni & Santucci have come to a “mutual” decision to nix the firm’s big payday for conducting “50-h” hearings, which determine whether the city wages a court battle or settles, said spokesman Michael Loughran.

The firm had raked in $2.25 million with such hearings since 2006, at the same time that Klein was “of counsel” to the Law Office of William A. Gallina — which specializes in taking the city to the cleaners in slip-and-fall cases.

Klein even starred in a TV ad for Gallina last year.

The Post reported in December that Fred Santucci at times conducted 50-h hearings for the city on cases filed by Gallina.

Loughran did not respond to a request to see a report relating to the investigation.

Klein’s office did not return a call for comment.
