Conn. pol $moked out
Connecticut House Speaker Chris Donovan’s campaign claims it has returned all contributions tied to an alleged scheme to keep roll-your-own tobacco shops untaxed.
Tom Swan, manager of Donovan’s 5th Congressional District race, said the campaign gave the FBI $27,660 last month after reviewing its own internal reports and information from a federal investigation.
Ex-Donovan finance chief Robert Braddock Jr. and others allegedly conspired to hide the source of $27,500 in donations.
