The body of a student at Eastern Connecticut State University was discovered inside his car at a school parking garage, officials said Thursday.

Lee Barrett, from Hamden, Conn., was found unresponsive inside a vehicle in the Shakespeare parking garage on the campus at around noon on Wednesday, according to a statement released by the school’s president.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to Lee’s family and friends during their time of grief,” the president, Elsa Núñez, said.

“This is a tragic loss for them and our entire campus community.”

The medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death. School officials, however, said that there was no indication of foul play.
