A construction worker plummeted 30 feet after falling through plywood scaffolding inside a Midtown building today, authorities and coworkers said.

The 24-year-old hardhat was rushed to Belleuve Hospital with a fractured collar bone and broken knee after the accident inside the three-story building on 8th Avenue near 39th Street, which is being renovated, at about 10:30 a.m., authorities said.

“He was screaming,” said an emergency worker who responded to the accident.

The construction worker lives in Queens but is originally from Ecuador, coworkers said.
