Hilarious police bodycam footage shows a cookie-munching squirrel lunging at upstate New York cops who were called in to capture him in a resident’s kitchen last week.

The video, posted to the Brockport Police Department’s Facebook page, shows two officers entering the kitchen after getting a report that the hungry squirrel was rummaging through cupboards and devouring cookies.

“[The officers] were not at all expecting the warm welcome they would receive from the squirrel,” the tongue-in-cheek post reads.

As the officers make their way inside, they ask that blaring music be turned down, according to the video.

When a child suggests that the rodent began playing the radio, one officer is heard joking, “The squirrel turned it on?”

The bushy-tailed little beast then zooms around the kitchen and suddenly leaps into the air and smacks straight into one of the officers as everyone erupts in laughter.

The pint-sized intruder was eventually captured by cops and released.
