An NYPD cop pleaded guilty Tuesday in a drunken, off-duty shooting that seriously wounded a Westchester County motorist in 2014.
Brendan Cronin, 28, of Yonkers copped a plea deal in Westchester County Court that calls for nine years in the slammer on four felony counts and one year on a misdemeanor DWI count, The Journal News reported.
Cronin fired at Robert Borrelli and Joseph Felice, two New Rochelle men who were driving home from a hockey game in Mount Vernon on April 29, 2014.
The six-year police veteran from the 46th Precinct in The Bronx had been training at an NYPD shooting range before downing 10 drinks at a City Island bar, he told Pelham cops after he was busted.
Cronin got off the Hutchinson River Parkway before midnight and stopped on Lincoln Avenue in Pelham, where he unleashed a barrage of 14 shots from his police-issued Glock pistol at the two men stopped at a light.
Felice was struck six times and still has a bullet in his chest, the paper reported.
Borrelli drove his pal to a hospital and Cronin was nabbed by a Pelham cop a few blocks away in New Rochelle.
Cronin had been charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and driving while intoxicated — charges that carried a maximum of 25 years in prison.
