Someone fired a shot from an apparent BB gun at an occupied unmarked NYPD car, cracking the windshield in Brooklyn Wednesday night, police sources said.
Officers assigned to the Grand Larceny Unit were doing surveillance of a known suspect in the unmarked SUV at Saint Marks Avenue and New York Avenue in Crown Heights at around 10:50 p.m. when they heard a noise, sources said.
The officers then discovered that the windshield had been damaged, sources said. The windshield was not penetrated.
No one was injured. Cops are investigating the incident.
