An NYPD instructor was struck by his own gunfire at the department’s gun range in The Bronx on Thursday — the second time the cop was nailed by a ricocheting bullet fragment this summer, sources said.
Police Officer Eric Single was hit in the leg by the shard after the rifle bullet hit a stanchion, sources said.
He was taken to Jacobi Medical Center and was in stable condition.
Single suffered a similar injury at the Rodman’s Neck gun range on July 10. It’s unclear whether he fired that round also.
