NYPD Officer John Passarella, 27, helped pull a frantically mewing kitten from the engine block of a white minivan on Friday afternoon in Brighton Beach.

After a game of cat-and-mouse, the five-year vet — who also works as a volunteer firefighter in Queens — extracted the teeny tabby.
